NTT-AT, 초발수 재료 신제품 'HIREC-R' 출시

~HIREC100의 초발수 성능을 유지하면서 공급안정성 향상~

옥외 설비의 안전·보수로서 안테나·레이더·교량·철탑·전력·철도·빌딩 등 폭넓은 분야에서 이용되고 있는 초발수 재료 「HIREC?(하이렉)」시리즈 중, 셀프 클리닝 기능이 있는 「HIREC100」을 리뉴얼해, 공급 안정성을 향상시킨 「HIREC-R」로서 판매를 개시했습니다. 

 

1. 「HIREC-R」

 

일반적인 불소수지 코팅은 발수성이 좋은 것을 나타내는 "물 접촉각"이 100도 정도이지만, HIREC는 초기 접촉각이 150도 이상으로 매우 우수합니다. 따라서 HIREC를 시공한 면은 물을 튀겨 젖지 않는 상태, 즉 수막이 생기기 어려운 상태가 됩니다.

 

그러나 대기 중에는 먼지가 존재하고, 그것들이 발수면에 부착함으로써 일반적으로 발수 성능은 서서히 저하됩니다. 또한 태양광에 포함된 자외선을 받아 도막면의 열화가 진행되는 것으로도 발수 성능은 저하됩니다.

 

「HIREC-R」는 「HIREC100」과 같이, 배합한 광촉매 재료에 의해, 오염이 부착해도 태양광을 받음으로써 셀프 클리닝 기능을 발현해, 새로운 초발수면을 노출시킵니다. 이 기능을 통해 사람의 손에 의한 청소 없이 초발수성 도료로는 장기 약 3년에 걸쳐 초발수 성능 유지를 기대할 수 있으며, 성능 열화에 따른 교체 공사 비용 절감을 실현합니다.

 

'HIREC-R'도 착수뿐만 아니라 착빙·착설 방지에도 효과를 발휘하므로, 옥외 설비의 안전·보수로서 안테나·레이더·교량·철탑·전력·철도·빌딩 등 폭넓은 분야에서 이용이 가능합니다.

 HIREC-R, New Super hydrophobic Material 

~ Improves supply stability while maintaining the same super hydrophobic performance as HIREC100 ~

 

1. “HIREC-R” 

While a typical fluoropolymer coating has about 100 degrees of water contact angle(index of water repellency), HIREC has an extremely high initial contact angle over 150 degrees. Thanks to this characteristic, the HIREC coated surfacerepels water and barely forms a water film. 

 

However, whendust adheres to the water-repellent surface, hydrophobic performance gradually deteriorates.Hydrophobic performance is alsoimpacted by UV rays contained in sunlight damaging the surface of the coating. 

 

As same as HIREC100, HIREC-R contains photocatalytic materials which allow a new super water-repellent surface to appear by exposing the dirty surface to sunlight. With this function, the super hydrophobic performance couldbe maintained for approximately 3 years. That is a long period of time for super water-repellentmaterials without manual cleaning *, and the cost of repainting due to deterioration in performance can be reduced. 

 

As HIREC-R is effective not only for repelling water but also for preventing ice and snow accretion, HIREC-R can be used in a wide range of fields such as antennas, radars, bridges, steel towers, electric power, railways, and buildings for the safety and maintenance of outdoor equipment
